Driving Message

You know driving cars is wonderful and sight seeing is really fine,
But not when you’re doing eighty, gotta watch that yellow line,

It was nighttime very dark, the map I couldn’t see,
I asked the riders in the back , if they would look for me,

I couldn’t hear back what they said,
But the map I gave was never read,

Speeding through the deserts , a straightaway and then,
Somewhere up ahead I had to turn just before a bend,

I had no idea if my turn ahead would plainly show,
I needed help immediately to see which way to go,

Suddenly they all came alive, my message, I might mention,
Swerving a little and loudly snoring sure got their attention!
