Parking lots have their problems and some rewards.

Fender Bender

The cop asked me, What happened here?
Well I was just standing here having a beer,

No I’m not driving , the wife’s coming now,
This fender was trashed . I can sure tell you how.

Cop said, did you get a name or insurance card?
Said no , she wasn’t lookin, hit pretty hard,

Then she jumped from her car and handed me this money ,
Said it’s eight hundred and sure sorry honey,

Cop said that’s dumb in todays high priced world ,
You shoulda got the name of this hit and run girl.

The insurance company’s gonna have a blue fit,
They’ll never wanna pay for this kinda hit,

That eight hundred dollars sure won’t go that far.
I said as I kissed the eight hundred, " Don't care, Officer, this ain’t my car!”

Once again, I thought I knew which way you were going, and you threw a zinger at me. That's what makes your poems humorous. It takes a lot for me to laugh out loud, but I usually get a knowing smile when I read those zingers and think, "Yes."

Well, perhaps the lady was so accustomed to such automotive 'smacks' that she didn't more carefully evaluate the situation, eh Tom? After all, she offered him 'eight hundred smackers', didn't she? I guess it beats being fined 800 smackers for having smack on you... :))

Another cute one to begin Wednesday with! Thanks! -K2
