Marriage Making Sense

This is your fourth marriage, I think I heard you say,
I reckon that’s not unusual in the lifestyle of today,

But Chuck is a Funeral Director, was he a school sweetheart,
No but when I met him , I knew we’d never part,

My first was to a banker’s son, and true love couldn’t wait ,
My second was to a movie star , the divorce was really great ,

My third was something special a preacher don’t you know,
Then just last year , the virus got him and I lost ol’Joe,

Well Ma’am that’s quite unusual, you’ve had the worst of luck,
No young man it’s all been planned, that’s why I married Chuck,

You see, It’s one for the money and two for the show ,
Three to get ready and four to go!
