No offence intended. Check out that smile!

Denture Adventure,

Large Rest homes have problems you just can’t believe ,
Hang on to your dentures , or some one might thieve,

I lost my dentures last time I was here ,
Gotta stay away from wine and that black bull beer,

Fell asleep in recliner and my teeth disappeared,
The tooth fairy got’em management feared,

You know that’s a croc , I may be slippin , but not that bad,
Them teeth cost a bundle, best I ever had,

Tooth fairy my butt, this administration sucks,
I think they took’em , tryin to make a few bucks,

I know how it is , I was here for a spell,
I rented them out and did pretty well,

My Uncle Johnny had to watch what he spent,
Kept a meat grinder handy and didn’t have to rent,

You’d be surprised what folks will pay,
To just eat natural , if only for a day,

My size was medium, pretty hard to beat,
Just had to be careful about what you could eat ,

Well enough about old teeth, I got some that’s new,
And yes they’re available for renting to you,

Three dollars for breakfast, two dollars for lunch,
Six dollars for dinner, when folks eat a bunch,

But it’s a big Twenty bones, when folks come for awhile,
For them family photo’s you gotta have a big smile !

Did you get one!

HaHaHa! I worked in a dental prosthodontic office for over 15 years. We handled mostly difficult cases but we made some great looking dentures, in house, very natural and never the chicklets type. Yes they can be very expensive and it was not unusual for someone to come in who had lost their denture at a nursing home, hospital or rest home. When I was in a small, remote town in Mexico once, I went into a pharmacy and saw barrels filled with used dentures and partial dentures. People would try them on and then toss them back in the barrel if they didn't fit. I also saw a lot of people who had uppers that didn't go with the lowers. To me it was pretty gross to try on dentures that you had no idea how many others had tried on but when you live where they have to pipe in daylight, I guess your options are limited.

So that's why your smile in your picture is so perfect. I expect that those bulls pitching you to the ground took most of your teeth, one by one. You have to be rich to have dentures in a rest home. Probably just dreaming of renting some. A good way to spread the pandemic is to share dentures with those you love… Or rent them out.

This made me laugh so hard my tongue got in front of my eye tooth and I couldn't see what I was laughing about!

This time you got it wrapped up, Tom, without a glitch, twitch or screech. One for the anthology, if I had my way. The last question appears ambiguous: Did you mean a "family photo" or a "denture" rented or stolen, though I wonder how the "home-administration" could make money out of smiles. Girls manage to smile just as well with their lips pursed: the glossy teeth merely distracts, don't you think? It's the fruit in the lush foliage that dazzles...
