A little Base ball memory, but don't Fact check

Batter Up

Top of the ninth one run down ,
Bases were loaded, full all around ,

I was the pinch hitter with two men out,
Casey at the bat, I heard my fans shout,

A little bingo Ma'ma and we could win,
A fast ball by me was no way to begin,

Ball one then another, this pitcher was tired,
Then high and inside that Ump should be fired,

Way outta the strike zone, Damn cain’t you see?
The pitcher was smiling, he almost hit me,

Flipped him a birdie, he loved a bad call ,
He blew up at my answer and I got a fast ball,

He really was angry, it was wide of the plate,
If I had of swung , I would have been late,

The catcher was upset and looked up at me,
Boy he was angry, that was ball three,

A full count, now baby, I’m ready to run,
One more ball and this game can be won,

But the pitcher stood there his crotch he was scratching,
Then I looked at the catcher and that scratch he was matching,

Looks like the whole team must have the crabs,
That pitcher leaned over after a few more jabs,

The Umpire set ready to make that 3 and 2 call,
But I whiffed out losing, it was a screw ball !

Hey, Tom, what are you up to? Writing only for the locals with the "kyrielle" of baseball-patois lingo! Even I who founded "Les Bêtes Noires" in 1986 (a baseball club in Paris, trained and entered my team in the national league over here) can't quite follow your rap, until I read Jeanne Watson's commentary about "crotch scratching". In any case, my team had to drop out owing to the then Socialist Party regional heads refusing to accept (and allow) their grounds being pock-marked by base-balls dropping out of the sky!!! And the Secretary-General of the National Police Force who was the head of the league could do nothing about it at all. Curious country!

You sure have balls writing a parody of that great classic poem, Casey at Bad! On the other hand, I certainly had to chuckle when you got screwed. You should've seen it coming with those signals.

Oh, that was a fun read!!

Go when ever I can ... Giants AND a Dodgers fan made this a very exciting and difficult season.

Laughed out load thinking that crotch scratching could be an actual sign between the pitcher and catcher. It's just that dang cup ... or crabs.

Totally enjoyed.

This is delightful! It read like a horse race commentary, so full of action and edge-of-seat anticipation. I am not a sport fan, but this caught my attention by the way it was written. I think my pulse even stood up in the stands. I enjoy the word ‘whiffed.’ Fun one! ~~ djl
