Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.” |

The marshlands are alive with summer breeze and freshness
as I make my glad passage along, to a vantage point I love
I notice a stately egret, standing stock still in the reeds
with lightening speed he parts the waters, catching his prey whole
and the languid sun warms my face, as I think of the one I love
knowing I have been richly blessed, and our kingdom is still to come
I settle down in my favorite place, under the blooming rowan tree
and sip some refreshing iced tea, my heart is in its element
for I am rest assured, that everything is going to turn out right
the melancholy cry of a faraway loon, pierces the unbroken silence
filling my soul with the breathless touch, of truth on the other hidden side
blue damsels and iridescent dragonflies, hover within the flag iris
water boatmen and pond skaters, dance along the water surface
and with or without a reason to believe, I know the cycle continues ever onwards

P.S. Thank you so much for your insightful interpretation on my story, "My Childhood's Recurring Dream - Heaven and Hell". I think it was most appropriate. Thank you!

Your heart and mind and beautifully-freed spirit reach incomparable heights, dear Peter, and delve into magnitudes, such as, only the Creator can reveal!
What a blessing you are, to everyone who reads your poetry...and absorbs your photography! What a huge sigh of relief...that spirit of peace, which you bring.

There you go again . . . did you know that my wife and I just finished a photo shoot at Cuyamaca Lake of the Egrets that dwell there?
Andre calls this "synchronicity" I call it connected in the spirit!
Sir Peter, your knowledge of Flora is quite astounding. In your constructs you always spell out those things around you with the panache of a botanist or a horticulturalist.
That image . . . Hummmm? I believe we would sit there together, with cheese and bread and a fine bottle of wine, or two, and discuss catching frogs, or perhaps why that particular rock resembles a large mammary.
Be blessed poet! I am thankful for our poetic fraternity.
