I can see you hugging me
I feel your care
So many people pass by suddenly
While I’m standing here
Eons have passed
Observe my face
Watching me
Watching you
There is no race
Time has etched upon my bark
Steadfast wisdom I freely impart
Roots deeply embedded within the ground
The magnitude of my structure
My history astounds
Tread softly around my width, my breadth
And, around my forest full of sisters
Come spend some time within
A woodland treasure chest
Supporting all life
Our purpose is pure
All of us are special
We’re treasures... living jewels!
