Lord, I'm on my knees...

Poem Artwork

Why there is hate
is so plain to see
but somehow society
has disguised you and me
The air we just breathed
just passed over a mother
crying for all of us
to stop killing each other

The sons of pride
where heritage reigns
fuels up the world
with missiles and planes
The skies up above
witness unending love
While our mantles... they seethe
some past evil skulls

We surpassed the Jones’s
whoever they were
And some people say
they do have a cure
But politics stops
to measure its worth
for greed has power
over innocent birth

The sun we have
is only one
An earth that spins
as we're all holding on
"Home Sweet Home"
Where ever you are?
Open the sky
for all you and I

Why there is hate
just "Let it be..."
Lord, allow Peace to begin
and you can start here with me
"Love one Another"
and
Live to be free
Why is there hate?

Lord, I'm on my knees...

there is hate simply because mankind has not yet evolved into the potential of his spiritual being ... unfortunately, this will take time ...lets hope mankind will survive its growth pains ...

this poem is embellished with the hope we can do so ...

these lines really brought it all home to me, Kimmy. We are united by the very molecules of the air that we all breathe, all dust and bone at the end of the day, all just wanting our children to live. Fantastic work in both writing and art. Right between the eyes! Lord, start with me... TY K xx

Kimmy,

Your poem reminded me of the song, "Let There Be Peace On Earth." Not only peace from war but peace of mind and soul.

Superb poem and art Kimmy! We are Creator's image here on earth and are responsible for making or breaking peace. There are just too many who don't see it that way.

Powerful write..why is there hate? A question that has been pondered by many! We have come to live in an evil world...I suppose there has always been much wickedness and evil across our land, but only now people have become bold and don't even try to hide their hate and feelings. Your words give the reader much to think about dear friend!

Dear Kimmy
All of us who don't know how it works that all is constantly One in the world are feeding the fires of negativity that release into the bursting sores of hatred in all its forms. It's not enough to point the finger at the 'sore', we have to understand its root and thereby choose to withdraw our participation.

A touching write, precious Kimmy. But did you know God offers us an olive branch in 2 Chronicles 7:14? This is what He says: "If my people who are called by name will humble themselves and pray, and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land..." The question remains, are they willing to turn from their wicked ways? Or are they content to remain in sin disguised as human rights? Now, there's something for us to think about!

God Bless
Much love
Lena

Kimmy, Sweetie, Ego has no compassion, it only serves itself and it is hateful when it is not served. It is a Godly thing. In the third or fourth century after the death of Jesus, the Holy Roman Church banned the Goddess, for the sake of the kingdom of Ego. Hate and Love balance each other. With the loss of the Goddess, we lost compassion and nurturing (I did not lose for I keep my Goddess in my heart and soul). The world, without our Goddess, swung into Ego madness and war. If Jesus were to come down here today, He would throw a (BEEP) fit! Care to bet?

Kimmy ... You got me with this one, bigtime! My heart cries for our collective unconsciousness; but, has hope because there are those, like yourself, who know we've got to make a major shift and that it begins with our own personal commitment. This is a super powerful poem. Good on you, Kimmy. MUCH love, Jerelyn

Why is there hate?

An ages old question, I fear, and I very sadly wonder if we will ever be intelligent enough as a species to stop it.

I hear you Kimmy, I for one don't understand why so much hate, but hatred as you know stems from a multitude of other evils such as jealousy, envy, greed, power.
We all need to kneel before the cross and pray with a sincere heart for the world to change, love holly

Reviewed on March 3, 2007
It's a crying shame that the energy wasted on hate cannot be converted to fueling love and compassion instead.
Looking at the faces of protesters marching through the city the other week I could not help but notice the disfigured looks of hatred etched in their faces. Their irrational cries of protest revealed that their insides were just as hate filled as their outsides. What was this protest? For peace.
Yes indeed, there is hatred in the world that defies logic. It is a manifestation of the spirit of the age, or as my mate would say, 'spirit of the beast'

Many's a pair of knee pads would be worn out by the intensity of prayer required to remove this pathalogical phenomena - no wonder Jesus, as He prayed, sweated, as it were, blood.

Empathise.

Regards
Dai
