Why Would A Monkey Want To Be A Man

Back to the evolution debate folks.

That diehard Darwin friend of mine
was yakking at me again yesterday about
that Monkey to Man stuff again.
He really believes that a monkey
would seriously consider becoming a man.

First off, I told him there aren’t any men
who could whip a monkey in a fair fight.
You know, no guns, bows or spears.
So that survival of the fittest is out
on its ear already.

Why would a monkey start to walk
around on the ground when he had
to climb back up the tree to get away
from the already evolved kitty cats?

Why would a monkey shed all his fur
so he would have to go down, kill and skin
that big kitty cat to stay warm?

My friend looked at me like I was stupid
and just shook his head. He said, “look
you stubborn ass, they wanted dominion
over all the other monkeys and kitty cats
as you call them.”

I said, “Dominion! That must be
pretty powerful stuff. Who taught
them to Dominion?

Rusty-friend, I love your 'poonies! Just once, I'd like to have a chat with your Darwinian friend -- I'd like to find out how I can de-evolve back into a monkey ... Excellent poem, sweet poet man.
Love,
CJ

Is dominion those little square blocks with the white dots that all the little old men play with in the park?
