Rats...A Comet

Another evolution 'poonie' as CJ calls them.

That Monkey to Man,
Darwinian mouthpiece friend of mine
has gotten on my last evolved nerve.
He was telling me about the comet
that struck earth, killing all the dinosaurs
and everything else on the planet
except the rodents that lived underground.

Well, I had had enough of that old chit.
I said, “Wait a minute,
Where did the monkeys come from
if everything was killed except moles and rats? ”

He wiggled his pointy little nose and said,
“Evolution, you dufus,
all the rodents evolved to different species
and Wah-la, monkeys and men.”

I snarled and bit off
the rat bastard’s leg.
Rodents, indeed.

I don't usually laugh out loud while reading little words on a white screen in the dark, but I've been doing JUST that for the past ten minutes. This is one of your best 'poonies, Rusty-friend -- I love reading them and getting yet one more glimpse into the mind-workings of a well-rounded writer. Hysterical! If you didn't live so damned far away, I'd insist you come over and clean up my desk where I laughed coffee all over it ...
Love,
CJ

I am usually against violence but to say I evolved from a rat is the last straw. Give the vermin evolved some rat poison. Victor
