Sometimes when we are reading poetry, we also sip our favorite beverage. In the morning, for us caffeine freaks, it is coffee. Sometimes the punchline to a humorous poem is read mid sip...the results sometimes being unpleasant. To make the story short, CJ thought it a good idea to write a poem called 'A Laugh of Coffee'. So I did, but, CJ put in the finishing touches, correcting my awful spelling and punctuation and changing a few words and adding lines to make it read better. Thank you my dear CJ.
Sitting here at my computer I was drinking a cup of brew. Reading what you’ve written is a dangerous thing to do.
I tipped my cup so carefully and savored my hot caffeine, when I read the thing you wrote about I nearly totaled my poor spleen.
The room was filled with spittle, my keyboard shot a spark, my fuses blew, the monitor too, and I was sitting in total dark.
That funny poem you posted erupted me into a laugh. From this spill, you’ll get my bill for the electrocardiograph!
To get me up and online again I worked for nearly a day. Oh, I’m still drinking my java … with a straw, that’s the only way.
Unless you live in Louisiana, then it's AAA-III-EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! Hot stuff, strong stuff, that...that's what ruined me on coffee. I'll save me straw for me Diet Coke (no ice), thank you--anyway, this is a scream! Love it!
Oh Rusty~ I gave up coffee, just only yesterday. The headache I've been having tempted me to take a sip, but your "Laugh of Coffee" tempted me more so I just put on the pot! LOL! So weak am I! Smiles!

... hey, thank you for the warm credit, sweet poet man, but this was YOUR baby and you did a wonderful job with it -- especially since it was based on merely a comment I made on one of your poems, that you made me laugh so hard I blew coffee from my ... (no, I won't gross everyone out) ... all over my desk! Your talent stands alone, my poetic friend!
Love,
CJ
Great humor to portray. We need this in our lives.

Oh Rusty, drink decaffinated coffee. It's good for your heart and for your computer. Give us more humor (well done CJ, my friend), we need early morning laughs. The days are long and often boring, especially when you're retird. Victor
