One of the pleasures of age is
that we slow down and enjoy
what we were too busy
to appreciate in our younger,
fast-paced lives.
Fast food, drive-in checking,
quickie marriages and quicker divorces.
Labor saving this and faster do that
You can’t smell a rose with a nose
that can’t take the time to sniff.
Speaking of quickie, I’m all for
a little afternoon adult entertainment
with your favorite Mister or Missus|
in between the hell bent for leather
schedule of kids and jobs,
but foreplay is becoming a lost art.
Now don’t get me wrong.
Orgasms are great
but great orgasms are impossible
if you go off half cocked.
Gentle curves have a speed limit,
a go slow sign, a don’t pass go
before you collect two aaahs
and a sharp breath between
clenched teeth, sign.
Backs, legs and thighs
should be rendered submissive
to flat palmed manipulation.
Wet lipped kisses string a path
for soft fingertipped caresses
tantalizingly avoiding the G
and B spots……
Well, I don’t have time
to write the rest of this
so you’re on your own.
I’ve got a busy day ahead of me
Too much to do
Too many places to go
Where did I put that damn rose.
Now I forgot what I wanted to write because you gave me something to do instead!!
Whahahahaha...old age can be fun!!

Hey old man...If you retrace your steps, slow down a little more, get focused on the rose and what it stands for, you might remember that you put it on the top of your toilet tank this morning while you were writing about your Darwinian mutant friend! Remember?
ROFLMAO!
This was another clever write with a great twist!
Good job Rusty!
Love and Peace~
Kimmy
Rusty, you write of a trashing of beauty between man and woman.
Speed kills... driving, racing... sex - whatever. Think of a slow moment... Did anyone ever write a song called, "Fast Dance?" It ain't about sex... it's about romance... getting accustomed... familiarization... getting to know you... So, where's the contest of a game without finesse and lingering kisses???????
Keeping score doesn't include the number of times! Got that???

Engaging poetry leaves one satisfied; foreplay has indeed become a lost art. No wham, bam, thank you Ma'am verse here! This one hits home. :)
(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
Now where's my cigarette? :)
