Severe thunderstorms due in later today
and tonight. Pray for me???

...it's a time for renewal and rebirth...

with lightning spitting out of angry eyes
the combatants gather in stormy skies
they march in step to thunder's cadence call
these combatants that arrive at nightfall

with angry shouts they issue a challenge
against humankind, they'll have their revenge
with screams of fury they attack the land
with awesome weaponry at their command

wind, hail, lightning, tornadoes, heavy rain
terrify as they strike, again, again
there's no resistance so the storms move on
there is nothing left, everything is gone

the battle through, rain washes the torn earth
it's a time for renewal and rebirth
a tiny green sprig is the start, then two
life always returns after storms roll through

??Hello??!! Guess you can come out now, huh? We have crossed over into the brand new day and I sincerely trust that you have been kept spectacularly safe by the Supreme Hand that shielded and kept you as the apple of His eye and in the hollow of His palm until the specatacular storms had passed you by?! I'm rumbling on like the thunder, I know, but you can growl right back at him now that he is gone!! I know what it is to have fears too, Karla, but we grow stronger each time we confront and conquer them. I'm sure you've grown an extra inch or two overnight! Kate xx

Karla,

You have done a marvelous job, and this is a very descriptive write you have penned. I have been through, and have stayed with family in Spring, and as I’m sure you’re well aware, WOW! Stay safe and dry, as the gods replenish Mother Earth.

Best of luck to you and yours,
Thomas

Well we need these to make things grow, and the humidity in Texas I refused to work at Dyess when ever air con broke.

Loved every night was a fab storm, and one could go out init as it was warm too, but the smell after was so refreshing.

This idiot swam in a swimming pool during one, yet I'm glad I did.

Wish I could have thought poetry then, cos you depict it so well, plus the flash floods.

This is one thing we have no control over...

Will pray for you, Karla, but I'm starting to agree with Eileen. These storms could be your muse. Excellent write!

Karla, There isn't but one that controls the storms..since I know that You trust Him...then hand Him your fears and he will handle them. You know you are never alone in His presence.
Yes I will pray for you, I will pray you have no fear.
You know this is a good write! He knows your fears. Lisa

This poem is so descriptive, and I do sympathize with your apprehension ok......FEAR over the storm....but think of it as an amazing energy, that you can witness......something that man cannot make or control.......and yet you can stay safe and sound in your man made home.........that work??? Guess not...we all have phobias....I will tell you mine......its really really stupid...but when I was alittle kid, i saw George Plimpton on TV, and he was doing a show about Holland, and how cars go into crash into the canals sometimes, and how the drivers are taught how to get out of a car underwater with the water rushing in......(they have to wait till the water is one inch from the inside roof, keeping their nose up there, then the water pressure is equal on the inside and outside and they can open the door and swim to the surface.......now I don't know why, but this has never NOT crossed my mind when driving over a bridge...wether its a rinky dink local bridge over a brook....or the George Washington Bridge over the Hudson River.........ok......enough about my weirdness lol...........

You write so well!!! Write tonight........and yeah you will be in my prayers and thoughts..........pax........Anita :)

This poem, "you can't keep a good man down" must be on the selected best list. This is a grand reading and a magnificent writing. It delivers the first line in golden letters, and the last ones in platinum!
