Whoa! Keep safe! Nice poem, ugly things--tornadoes--aren't they? They're also quite frightening; been through the killer tornadoes of 1974 (Xenia, Ohio) where 33 people died in twin tornadoes (actually one huge funnel top with two tails! We had little damage (they turned 200 ft. from the rear of our house which was there usually 'alley'): I was on my knees over my children under the overturned sofa praying God would spare them--take me if one must 'go'--when it turned. So keep praying as will I for you two!

Great poem Karla...don't let the tornados get you down...the closest thing we have to a tornado here is politicians blowing warm air out their butts...although we do get pretty fierce typhoons here around june to august...but hey don't worry about these tornados, it is just mother natures way of saying I'm in control, ...take care...hugs your kiwi friend in Hong Kong.

Dont read my latest posting as it will give you more nightmares; maybe the restaurant you work at has a basement? Or maybe you can move to NJ, no tornados here, once in a great while we may get some hurricanes, but hardly ever even then...get you a job in Sea Isle or Avalon for the summer, then you can live off of unemployment for the winter, like most of the year around residents do...hope you stay okay...Peace, Ed & Rufuz

It's storming here now, but I have a storm cellar. It was here when I bought the place. I lived and worked in Texas over two years. Nothing under ground, go figure. Glad your ok. Will pray for you & sis.

When it got through with you it hit me! Yeah, I agree, it's time for this to quit. I hate thunderstorms anyway and for them to always hit in the middle of the night where I can't see what's heading at me gives me a worse case of nerves.
We have trees down everywhere, our phones quit for a long time last night with no power, and the worse of the worse it got my computer. Now I'm back with this old one and it won't let me write! Oh well.....maybe some day!

I was talking to a friend down that way who was on a tornado watch last night. My heart goes out to all of you who expecirnce this. Great expression in your poem. Enjoyed.

I was scared, too; this is too much for me to take! I am MORE than ready to go back to Ohio; this weather here STINKS And NO basements...NOT good! STUPID weather!! ARGGGHHH!!! Scary, intense write; felt every bit of it! Hope this nasty stuff goes away SOON and NEVER comes back here! I've had MORE than enough!

Gee, I don't blame you for being afraid! I'd be out of my mind with fear, probably sitting or laying very still, trying to take my mind off of the tornado, trying to "go within" with prayer, songs or anything else calming that I could think of. Nature can be such a formidable foe!
