Too bad hurricanes can't understand the message. I'm afraid they are just a huge reminder that ultimately this world belongs to God and He is in control. There's a reason He created them and Houston is as close as I will ever get to living on the coast. It's close enough!! Good write, Karla...

Karla, haert felt pleas in this great poem, but sadly these hurricanes and changes in ther weather are part of the long preacherd about warnings from scientists about Global Warming. Sadly, this is just the tip of the ice berg. God help us all if this is irreversible!
That is GREAT!!! Bless your heart for writing support for all of us Gulf Coast dwellers and sending a clear message to Ivan, and all his past and future buddies! I am praying and praying and praying some more for those poor folks in Ivan's path. You are such a good buddy Karla! Michelle
Wonderfully hurricane-y write; could feel the frustration of those affected, especially Florida. And here are our parents going to Florida on Thursday. NOT good! Love the humor in this not so humoresque write; thanks for sharing!

things were predicted for "the Last Days." How wonderful, though,
that we are promised a new world free of them in Rev. 21:1-5

I second the motion!....And all the people in the land remembered how Jesus put up His hand and stooped the storm, so they in unity followed His excample believing they could do it (for He told them they could) so they all kifted their hands as one and said "BEGONe STORM IN THE NAME OF JESUS" and the storm disappeared!
I wonder how many would do it, and afterward how many would thank Him.....
