A quiet moon braids stars across the sky, and holds the nighttime at bay; shushing the rhythmic chanting of frogs who recite wordless poems of life's mysteries. A "thump - a - thump" betrays the settling - in of a rabbit for the night and briefly interrupts the melody being whined in my ear by two persistent mosquitoes who are determined to showcase their talent whether I want it or not. Distant dogs bark back their answers to endless questions posed by the poodle living next door and, in the meantime, the Aurora Borealis silently observes another Twilight passing below.
i could see this very clearly, and hear the dogs as well! lol i agree that your pen continues to evolve as your poetic soul achieves expression with each utterance...
Karla,
I too enjoy the late evening serenity that one can only get from that time of the day.
I often sit out under the trees and watch the world slowly bed down, and wait for the first hint of darkness before finally returning inside.
Thank you for sharing your peaceful moments.
Great work Karla!
Love the quiet mood of this, Karla: you so capture the still time of day when all the tension seems to melt with a breath of evening air. On the other hand, there are also your distinctive character traits that breathe life and soul and energetic imagination into an otherwise hushed space, which I love. Only an artist could hold the tension so readily that you do here, bringing us the whole picture. Those pesky mosquitoes will not be denied, huh?! Luv this! TY Kate xx
Hau, Karla! Does this bring back memories... and brings back the longing of what I have missed. I remember, oh how I remember when lifes answers were there.... thank you for this uplift.... are you staying strong?
Ahhhh Karla you captured this one right on the money with such vivid images you could have got away without the benefit of the stunning graphic.
Well done,
Felix

This is incredible and I like this. No I mean will they back up the litigation for the damage they caused the people killed and the anger from the people who thought their bible so to speak was being trashed like that.
This is flat out gorgeous; love the imagery and the picture! So nice to read this relazing, calming poem; most excellent job! Keep up the great writing; brava!
(((HUGS))) and much love, your twin, Karen Lynn. :D
A book of nature inspired poems and essays, written from the heart and soul of a life-long nature, animal, and wilderness lover, and dedicated to today’s children - Earth's only hope for a better tomorrow.
This book won 'The Poetry Category'
Explore the mystery of how nature makes unexpected gifts of creative wonders to an unsuspecting caregiver one late night and early morning in southeastern Georgia, USA.
Peace and love, Carole
I think this is one of the best poems you have written. You are getting good at it. Congratulations.
