Very well done, Karla... this chain flows naturally and effortlessly like cascade. Nay, a torrent - but perhaps that is not the word we are looking for here! Who can say? What can we say? Except "Let's pray"... Yes, often I wonder about the "oddness" of life being lost in a moment or two of "freak" conditions. Must add to the intensity of everything being totally surreal. A year of deadly weather extremes, indeed, and perhaps Armeggedon does draw near. But praying for a much more tranquil 2006 is a wonderful idea, Karla.
It does feel as though with each ensuing year the disasters multiply and mankind becomes less tolerant of their brothers. Just when I think we have had as much as could possibly handle, here comes another swipe of nature’s wrath and man's inhumanity to man. Is it the prophecy that we have read about? Is all of this merely a peek into what is coming? I think we have to just be strong and remain faithful as we face each new trial. Great chain, Karla.

Amen. I have been telling people all week long that, as a poet, if I can make it through 2006 without having to write either a memorial or a tribute to some natural or other disaster, that is all I want for next year. If pain hits me, I'm strong enough to take it, but I pray that the seas are calmer, the chemical plants are quieter, and the world, as a whole, is much brighter next year. Happy New Year, Karla.

When the world has a "Normal" year of weather, we should fear then, the wrath of God. Hell, all of this stuff has been polluting the world for thousands and zillions of years. Environmentiists just got hold a a new few words, and they're eager to use them on everyone but themselves.
Doesn't every intlligent person know that the world is not safe for human consumption? C'mon, read history... and believe it.

This is a weather pattern we are not use to but it is normal and will play itself out over time. I wonder what the next pattern will be like?

The weather is in a weird holding pattern. Has something to do with the jet stream. I heard it would be with us for about five years. I hope not.

The weather is strange, but it has been before it is cyclical, and though we may have more one thing than another, history shows it has happened before and the reason they give is that the Earth needs to adjust itself to changes. Who really knows for sure;-) Only Creator!
