Karla your concern for drought in your area is so deep that it caprures every reviewer's mind who happens to read your poems. In Africa people worry so much about droughts because of their lack of adequate response and mechanism to cope with the situation. But in a country like America, where people enjoy the most sophisticated technology, what can lack of rain do to their day-to-day life? Do your poems represent a general feeling of the American people or is it just a personal feeling you need to express in a poetic form? I'm interested to know how much an advanced nation like yours would show concern over seasonal failure or delayed rains. Thanks Karla

Lucky you, Karla...still no rain here. It is a matter of time, I know, but I feel like a kid waiting on the ice cream truck as each day I go out and take a look at the sky. No rain in our forcast either, not even the 10 day, but this is New Mexico and the rain gods rule the clouds, so I am praying hard despite the prediction of fair weather.
