Let me explain: Karen will hear a male grackle's call and will imitate it. The poor fellow, already hot and bothered and EXTREMELY frustrated, looks around for the female...where...IS...she? She also cracks up when they poof out their feathers, she says they look so stupid and wonders if they'll explode! LOL

in pooooofed out feathers and just-about ruptured throats - will she be enticed
will she ignore him or will she fall for his act - only time will tell
Those great-tailed grackles are something else, aren't they? They have certainly been bitten by the love bug and the spring season! LOL Excellent write about an annoying but fun to watch member of the bird world; enjoyed~
