Much needed rain fell last night, as wave after wave of thunderstorms moved across North Texas. Didn't sleep much, but oh, what a display of God's power!

Sounds like the storm outside
wants to be inside, where
I am, safe and dry; blinds
thrown open to watch the
lightning tracing blue paths
from sky to ground and back
again; thunder peels the
clouds apart and sends down
the rain.  I lay in my
bed and enjoy the show.

Karla, nice one. We're having a stormy one right now...maybe not as bad as yours, yet, but still wet, windy and miserable. All the same, the weather must do its work. :)

God Bless

Karla,

You captivate the reader and draw them both into the storm and the safety of the room. Excellent. I enjoyed this poem very much.

I love to watch lightening spread across the sky. You really get a sense for how small and insignificant we are in comparison with the bigger elements of nature. ~ Sara

WOW, I used to get up and go in search of the storm, only time I saw lightning hit the ground and rebound, something cosy about a storm.
Aberliean had them most nights too...

Kewl Karla Kewl... You'd love chasing them..

Karla, I'm a golf course superintendent and timely rains are important to us. After an extended drought a good rain certainly brings a sense of relief. I call rain 'mother nature's milk'. There is nothing like it.

It's amazing how one can find pure enjoyment in what others fear or dread. Just knowing that God is in control and what is going to be is going to be...allows one to see things more through a spiritual eye. I enjoy a good thunderstorm occasionally, if I am not driving. I too like to watch out the window at God's magnificant hand through the heart of a storm. You are a terrific poet....

Karla,

You may have enjoyed the show, but I didn't like it, one bit! STUPID storms; they wrecked our sleep! GRRR! I wish we'd get quiet storms, here, but noooo...being in Texas, that isn't an option; most of the storms here are waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too loud for my liking! LOL

Wonderful imagery in this powerful, storm-charged poem; very well done! Keep on spinning out those storms (just as long as it isn't over our house! LOL; these just keep on getting better and better! BRAVA, StormSpinner; you have outdone yourself on this one! Kudos!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your storm-weary twin, Karen Lynn. :D *grins*
