Calving hurts; how else to explain the roar of ice in pain? We stand at the railing, watching it die a little at a time. With each section that falls into the sea, we celebrate: shame. We're the cause of death.

It is not for I that I cry when I look around and see what serious things are going wrong in our planet but when I think of my grand children and great grandchildren to come...I must ask myself..What have we done?
Mayhaps we'll pay more attention when Manhattan is underwater..

I ain't/aren't/am not the damn cause of the ice melting, it is called "cycles of earth's temperature" . . . Been going on forever . . . Somebody needs to take AlGore out behind the barn and paddle his . . .

We kinda felt like a country full of Noahs, but this time there is no ark...
FANTASTIC KARLA!!! Another one you ought to submit... somewhere appropriate and high profile. Yes, in times past, icebergs calving was a "happy" time of over-productive birth, perhaps... Now the earth is producing too many premature babies who will not survive and who will drown us in their Waters. Serve us right. Bravo, write on... Interesting write, Karla, and if it keeps falling into the sea by way of Gobal warming, then unfortunately, the statement, "We're the cause of death", might become a reversal.
We are certainly not!!! it is the Mammon high-priests and followers that will extract the las piece of gold to the last piece of Mother Earth alive, like Midas they will die in a world made of gold...and nothing else.
