My heart dropped when I heard the news of the bridge collapsing in Minnesota. How I wish I could span the distance with my hands so it never happened: y'all are in my prayers.
"No Ordinary Storm"
This is no ordinary storm, no garden variety of ... normal dumping buckets on our heads: we're beyond cats and dogs. It's lyons and tygers and beyahs (o my), this efficient producer of wet and several thousand bolts of lightning per hour. Weather for ducks and for ducking (hiding like ostrich, keeping butt down to avoid being struck). Supposed to clear up, heat up: believe it when it happens. Who knows when that will -- been an unusual summer.

I saw that bus, and was relieved that God spared the lives of those young children, though my heart was deeply hurt for all the other lives lost.
Very sorry for this, prayers are with you in Your country.

Yes I think even the most noted naysayers are starting to take notice that global warming etc is changing our weather patterns and not for the better. Good one Karla.
A tragedy happend in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Crossed over that bridge many times when I lived in North Mankato........
As for the many unusual storms, enough all ready! I would like to know who was wishing for rain? You know it could be worse, it could be winter and then all the rain could have been ice storms instead. Think about it.......
They said that bridge had a 50 on the border for repair in other words...but I would say if it was on the borderline it did need repair. Terrible and yet...the people probably would have gotten angry if it was closed down for repair too~
However, this is an EYE OPENER...for them to go and check all the bridges throughout the US and make them safer for all travelers.

Accidents always happen. That's life. Can't be helped. It is a reminder that man is fallible and should learn that what he constructs, must be done well for the glory of God and the use of his neighbor and not for his own greatness and pecuniary gain. I am not accusing anyone here, but many accidents happen through neglect. I pray for the dead and their families. Victor
