Poem Artwork

" SunFlowers"

the time of morn, when the
dawning sun flowers, is
the best time.  it sends forth
pasteled petals of light,
the pulse of life:  not found
in my coffee cup, it
is in the eastern sky.

Great musing here, Karla. Like the smart transitions with the inclusion of the coffee-cup image: makes it very real. A "wake up and smell the coffee" write that takes our attention to the really important things in life. Neat, thank you. Kate xx

The first time I saw a field of sunflowers I was shocked, they were head down and burned out. Then I realised they were for harvesting to make sunflower oil. Great poem. Victor
