Still trying to atone for sins, still trying to rebuild.
I truly pray we never see the likes of this She-Devil again. And I truly cannot believe that we cannot seem to get the re-building done almost two years later. Half of once glorious New Orleans still lies in ruin today.

So here we are this year....three months into the season, nary a whimper have we heard, except for your stalled front which wreaked a havoc on it's own. Could it be Mother nature has looked the other way for a time? and may give us a break this year? We can only keep our fingers crossed.
A storm that will forever linger in the thoughts and memories of many across the nation, a storm that has affected the lives of many. A great write!

Such a grim thing to remember but you did it well Karla and remember we must!Especially if we ever hope to see it rebuilt! It's such a tragedy we are still feeling,and more happening on top of it. We musn't forget to pray...
It is unthinkable that parts of New Orleans and the American South still lay in ruins nearly two years later. Something should have been done a lot sooner to help those poor people rebuild; such a shame! Powerful write; we must not forget!! Thanks!
