Had strong to severe storms yesterday morning; more due in tomorrow and AGAIN Sunday. Enough!!

Poem Artwork

Rumbled out of bed and onto
the floor - damn thunder knows just what
to do to peel back the covers,
pick me up by my fear and throw
me gasping onto my feet.  I
swear it was an earthquake, the room
shook so hard.  Getting tired of this ...
more storms expected tomorrow.

(c) 2007, Karla Dorman (10/16)

I got one of those, but it wasn't thunder, just Nam Charlie joggling a few mortar fire our way, the earth moved and I wasn't making love.

For certain this is not fun. Woke me up with a start too as kitties began scattering looking for a place to hide...

I don't blame You!
And if You're anything like me, each time a storm is brewing, the atmospheric pressure builds up in the head, i hate those cracklin storms...Good one Karla, big hugs, Ch'erie.

I remember storms like that when I was a kid on the prairies. We seldom get thunder here. I hope you are fine, Karla. Amour et paix,

Looks like Dallas is flooding again. At least the golf course. It was on the news here in Tampa. Wow! We'll be getting the thunderstorms starting tomorrow and when we get them they'll move the cars around in a parking lot.
Love,
Susan

Wow,
I haven't really experience such storms in a very long time.
It must be frightening at times, but to tell you the truth it would excite me...

Karla, you amaze me. Your line "pick me up by my fear and throw me ..." It's perfect and original, and my mind can see your fear getting shakely to her feet. Give me more!!!--Charlie

"Woke last night to the sound of thunder,
How far off I sat and wondered.
Started humming a song from 1962....
Ain't it funny how the night moves.".....Bob Seger
