For now, skies crystal clear clarity, blue as far as eyes can see. Who's to say what it will be like later when the wind kicks it up another notch - will smoke spice eyes with tears and burn all we own down to the ground? The burning season off to a roaring start - after the wet we had last year, the pendulum swings back to drought conditions ...

As always great poem, I have a blogspot place as well, I really enjoyed the read, now I am catching up on what I missed of your writings, when we had the storms yesterday, and I will check out your blog space
God Bless

Karla,
I definitely think the weather in the last few years has been a sign of things to come. I like how the imagery in this piece changes along the way. Great poem! Love and Hugs.

The weather has truly been ODD this year! However, let's hope PEOPLE take care with their campfires, cigarettes, etc. as, at least around Oregon, that's the cause of MOST of our fires.
BTW thanks :) ... Child finally has the art up :)!
We truly seem to be swinging back and forth most dreadfully on that world pendulum, these days. Feast or Famine, Flood or Drought, Extremely Hot or Extremely Cold. Either Mom Nature can't make up her mind, or she's trying very hard to swing us back into submission.
It's nuts out there, isn't it, Karla??? No wonder so many people here have been sick: warm one day, cold the next, hot the day after: from storms spitting out tornadoes or floods to blazing hot conditions with blinding sun, then snow or sleet! CRAZY!! As they say here in Texas, "if you don't like the weather, wait five minutes--it'll change". Isn't that the spot-on truth, esepcially here!! GAD!! Very well penned, brava!
(((HUGS))) and much love, your twinklies, Karen Lynn. :(
