While celebrities are mourned, we forget the sacrifice paid by our troops each and every day. Guess that doesn't matter ... our men and women over there don't have the privilege of using a "get out of war card." Not rich or famous enough ...
"Roscoe" could had used his "get out of war card" but he never did, he could have had a better future than that of a grunt, but he had more courage than his so called rich celebrity peers.
It is a shame too. So many today have no mental support close to them in the field and others have a very low self esteem problem when the Services deny them time to rest between manuevers, guard duty etc. I've heard some real horror stories lately that I'm beginning to really get angry enothe to contact those who MIGHT can do something.

God bless our troops, and let's support their sacrifices so we can remain free!! We ought to boycott ALL celebs, and start laying out the red carpet and giving preferential treatment to the REAL American Idols: OUR TROOPS!!!!

Absolutely perfect Karla. I thought Vietnam would have been lesson enough in my lifetime. But after seeing the horrors of this war at one of our forts in 03 and 04 myself I'm amazed at the cold heartedness of our government. Don't get me started on this subject; you know how I can get about it. Well said my friend.

As a veteran of the armed forces, i think all our troops and and sailors and every body else, are celebrities. i like the way you stated that our troops should get better spotlights than actors or anyone who is "popular". great job on this one.
