Poem Artwork

The sky, a perfect
black.  A sassy moon
plays in the branches
of a crepe myrtle,
begging me to join
the fun.  Believe I
will, before the sun
puts an end to our
game of hide and seek
on this pre-dawn morn ...

I love this poem. I'm seven-years-old and I can feel the dew beneath my feet as I slip out the back door and dart across the yard in the predawn hours...

Thanks for the memories, Karla.

I'd be up to the top of that crepe Myrtle in a flash in my immortal day. This was fun and daring.

Love and blessings!

The moon sometimes go by my window, teasingly naked, her ethereal white fingers caressing my face and with her silence telling me to close my eyes and go to sleep.
