Poem Artwork

To the west, breaking clouds;
the sun shining after
a night and day of rain -
to the east, a rainbow,
the largest I've ever
seen, stands against the dark
of storms, passed.  Prayers of thanks
calms the air and my nerves.  :)

We should never become transfixed on the pot of gold at the end of a rainbow, because we will miss seeing the whole rainbow, Grasshopper:=)

Know just what you mean. On top of our mountain we get rainbows right across the whole sky and feel such peace that the storm is over. Love it and will think many times next summer about your poem. Love, Bonnie

What a gorgeous rainbow! I love your words,"stands against the dark of storms, passed"
Both the picture and that poetic phrase shout out agains the storms of life, reminding me that God is faithful to keep His promises. He is always there, sometimes concealed by the storms that assail me, but He IS there. When the "dark of storms" has finally passed, then I can see more clearly that God has not forsaken me after all.
Thanks for the beautiful reminder!

Love,
Connie
