Too Much

Thank you for your prayers. :)

After the flooding of yesterday, it's
nice to see the sun.  Too much
rain, all at once - thousands of
flights cancelled, homes and

trailers suddenly have unwanted
indoor pools, cars and even a bus
got stuck in high water - guess
they haven't learned "Turn around,

don't drown."  Over five inches of
wet in some places, only (only?)
three, here.  But:  thank God we're
safe - could have been a whole

lot worse:  tornadoes, hail, high
winds ... system on the way out 
with standing water as a reminder:
after the floods, comes the sun.  :)

Floods are scary as your poem reminds us,
Stay SAFE!
Have tarps, raingear and generous heart/smile still available!
The Lord will provide!

All who've come through floods have an appreciation for your odeal of the past few days. Hurricane Agnes -- 12 inches, 12 hours -- was the worst I've ever personally seen. Glad to hear you are safe and ready to dry out.

Yes.. thank goodness, 'after the floods, comes the sun.'...this really captures the atmosphere and devastation of the consequences of Nature. We had terrible flooding here in Hull, UK last June, and people are still in caravans, temporary housing etc. Some lost everything....With Love and Hope, Diana.

Oh I don't know, was waiting for that beach front property to reach us, but missed by a few hundred feet. Maybe next time. Did you hear they sighted a funnel cloud with one hundred mile an hour winds at DFW??? Sent a few running!
