Thank you for your prayers - whew. Getting worn out by all the weather! LOL An apparent tornado hit part of Burleson, where Karen and I live - no damage where we are, but other areas not so fortunate. That makes six? Seven?? Losing count. Have been told I need to chase. Nope - they're chasing me. MORE than ready to move! LOL

The calm after the fury of the storm ...
much needed and appreciated, sun
shining behind the dark of cloud. A
bumpy couple days and nights with
tornado watches/warnings issued
continually. Over 80 mile an hour
winds and 20,000 lightning strikes
keeping nerves lit like the skies,
overhead. Sleep? What's that? We're
safe, now. Wasn't so sure we would
be last night. Have the memories of
what was: ones we'd rather forget!!
Keep safe, you two... Having suffered severe Brit storms for a few days a couple weeks' ago, I can empathise a little, though ours will seem like a storm in a teacup compared to yours. The incessant winds were what got to me... After a couple days of those, you really need some stillness, I know, cos it makes you feel like you're rushing all the time. The quiet after is BLISS... know what you mean! Good evocation. Kate xx
Great storm report. You must have felt sheer relief when the storm passed on by. Karla, I've heard of certain people who attracts lightning, but you're a new study for the weather records since the storms seem to so prevalent in your area. Keep safe and God bless.

Karla, you continue to amaze me. You are unrelentingly prolific, on message and creative. I love the photos. Thanks for the update. You certainly keep this site interesting. Hang in there and keep up the good work!
Wow! I was a victim of one of Tampa's notorious storms. While I slept the lightening came through my fax machine and murdered my computer. Just got another one.
Karla I can only imagine how you feel, since it never seems to stop! My goodness there is no let up,and when it comes this close your nerves must be nearing the breaking point! Will keep praying, and hope it will come to a stop! My thoughts are with you both, and I send vibes of serenity and comfort your way. Hang in there!
Gosh Karla -thanks for your kind review -and no, there is no comparison to tornado straws pretty imagery over the sea, and this that you live with - except in the aftermath, and in The Calm, After, something about the crazy diamonds - they are something about the incredible, kind and beautiful will, that shines in people, found in the aftermath of what you describe - glad to read you are safe - i will go and read some News online about the USA and catch up with friends in your neck of the woods, hope they are ok too :o bumpy ride here also with storms and family matters -keep well and safe - thinking of you there xx Nicky
The eye of quiet is the storms aftermath, but where you are it seems there is not much quiet for long, is there, enjoy the new sun Karla, Blessings! Jasmin Horst
I agree, Karla: It certainly has been "testy" 'round here the past couple nights! So many of the new tree-branch/leaves are now on the ground. And the baseball-size hail two nights past, even I had the bee-geebers scare :o) Enough of these "theatrics", I'm thinking...
BTW...I've been think 'bout you and Karen these past nights...
oh Karla, I don't think I'd survive that kinda' torment the weather is giving you guys up there, I'd be depressed seriously, I don't know how you do it.......
I don't know if my nerves can take too much more of this....LOL Glad we escaped with only shattered nerves! It could have been a whole lot worse (and was to the northwest, south of here). God had His hand on us; glad He did! :) An excellent write of relief, the calm after. WHEW! LOL
(((HUGS))) and much love, your (sleepy) twin, Karen Lynn. :D *YAWN* LOL
