Poem Artwork

... know why they
call it "fall" when
i see the season
dropping from the
trees.  try holding
onto the last gasps
of color by pressing
them close to my
heart, where it is
always spring.  but
winter comes in the
night & kills them
in their sleep:  all i
have left are ghosts.

Very romantic, Karla. I actually press hundreds of leafes every year. They make great book marks and bring color to long winter evenings.

I like how you have used different colors to signify the changing of the seasons. Spring always live in many of us, and for that we are blessed.

Ah, yes. But God in His ultimate wisdom renews them all again come spring. Just His way of showing us that we, too, will but sleep only a short while when this life is done. What a wonderful renewal it will be be when our time comes to once again be reborn into a new and magnificant body when He gently awakens us and brings us all into His world. Well done my friend. God bless.

Beautifully done, Karla. Sad to see the Autumn colors go.
