... For those weary ....

Poem Artwork

Under the blanket of white,
Spring waits for the moment to
Burst forth.  Life, temporarily stilled.
But when it happens, it will blossom in a
Thousand shades of color, a sight welcome
For those weary of Winter's monochromatic brush ...

Karla,
"...weary of Winter's monochromatic brush..." is simply excellent and carries the theme on its strong broad shoulders. Fine, very fine.

I don't know about there but I know Spring is no where close to being here, as Felix said lots of snow on the ground and plenty more on the way. Thank you for sharing.

Newfie Hugs are on the way, Rose

Amazing! Well-captured. It makes me think of spring in the Ozarks (unfortunately, it's 83 in LA today). I like my winters to feel like winter! Nice reminder, Karla--LA has a "monochromatic brush" too--it's just different than yours.

Weary of winter? Hate to tell you this Karla but Winter is only a little over 3 weeks old. We still have at least 9+ weeks to go; probably more and far worst than what we've seen so far too. Good write however my friend. Stay warm btw and God bless.

There is a stillness to this poem...reminiscent of the hush of new fallen snow.
