OW! I've never tried to publish poetry. Attempting to publish novels is sufficient misery, a genuine exercise in masochism. This will sound like sour grapes, but I'm really beginning to believe it's true. If you can't append MFA to the end of you name--you've already been disqualified by the MFA who is reading your query. You are so good, though, I really can't understand it.
I have to tell you, I am so envious of all the people who manage to collect their poems and put them in book form. I wouldn't know where to begin with my stuff. I can only imagine how hard it must be to assemble a book. Even if a publisher doesn't pick it up, you should be proud knowing you completed the work of creating a collection. ~ sara

My personal lament is that some years ago I filed an income tax return and checked the box to donate $1.00 to the presidential election fund. Turns out I didn't owe one dime of tax that year. So what did IRS do? Through the mail, I received 17 pages of regulations amid their demand for the $1.00 I owed for the contribution or they would attach liens to everything I owed.
Needless to say, I don't mark that "Donate" box anymore.
Life is just full of lessons. The trick is surviving.
Like Sisyphus pushing that stone uphill we need to have patience and go slowly to reach the top, if we go too fast we will no be able to brake and the top will go by so fast that we will falling down much faster.
Don't EVEN compare yourself to Charlie Brown: you're a WINNER in my eyes; those who don't read or leave comments on your poems are the REAL losers! LOL Well, not LOSERS, but they're the ones missing out on some wonderful poetry/photography! THAT'S what I meant to say! :) ANYway, this is an excellent pen, and that piccy is beautiful! Very well done!

The Wholly Book of Doo-Doo-Rot-on-Me is adult satirical humor featuring adult language and adult content, and the work is a parody of the Old Testament Book of Deuteronomy.
