kitty just got home from the vet poor kitty's a mess
i swear, with more than nine lives this kitty has been blessed
kitty got a charge out of watching a thunderstorm
it may be several days before kitty's back to norm

kitty hates thunderstorms kitty does kitty does
kitty has always been scared always was always was
what happened to kitty shouldn t happen to a dog
what is kitty saying kitty s mind s still in a fog
snoozing on the windowsill as all good kitties do
kitty didn t know severe storm warnings had been issued
with visions of mouseburgers floating in kitty s brain
kitty woke up when kitty heard the approaching rain
a bright flash of lightning imprinted on kitty s eyes
and a loud crash of thunder shook the ominous skies
along with the rain came high winds and damaging hail
causing kitty to hiss kitty furred from head to tail
kitty wanted to hide but where could kitty feel safe
on poor kitty s nerves the storm was beginning to chafe
kitty meowed don t texans build basements around here
being underground would be nice would help kitty s fear
when suddenly hail busted out the sliding glass door
and this caused poor kitty to pee on the kitchen floor
bad kitty bad kitty that s it out out out you go
daddy wouldn t throw kitty out in he did you know
out in the storm he oh yuck kitties hate getting wet
can t believe daddy did this to his favorite pet
please let me in kitty won t pee in the house again
look at the black clouds the wind and look at all that rain
oh yuck oh yuck kitty s fur is getting all nasty
kitty thinks kitty better take shelter neath that tree
there kitty s got to dry off lick the fur lick the fur
suddenly there s a shock ow after that is a blur

you should see kitty now kitty is bald as a rock
kitty s fur stuck straight out and it was burned from the shock
the vet had to shave kitty kitty is not amused
poor kitty is feeling more than a little abused
kitty has white bandages all over all over
thank the gods that kitty won t have to deal with rover
kitty s owner feels awful but he s not a bad man
he just doesn t understand the ways of the cat clan
the vet said to kitty kitty you re a lucky cat
not too many animals live through something like that
