wherever you look
frozen in time
blanketed in ice
covered by rhime

everything is closed
traffic is light
sometimes people fall
it's really a sight

ice slowly melting
end of the cold
it was nice to have
winter unfold

ow landed on my rear end
now i am a bawlin

the entire north texas area was
blanketed by up to three inches
of sleet and freezing rain on
monday night; schools and many
businesses closed (including
our restaurant!), traffic was
a nightmare for many motorists,
and a delight for many children
who got a break from school (or
a curse to those who suddenly
found themselves sitting down
unexpectedly).

the library's been closed due
to the inclement weather, that's
why you haven't seen me or my
twin sister, karen lynn. we're
at a neighbor's today...but fix-
ing to have to go. we've enjoy-
ed this winter wonderland...even
though we've both sat down hard
a couple of times (don't worry,
we're okay!). :)
