it was a dark and stormy night...

thunderstorms that have
(so far) managed to
avoid north central
texas (where i live,
anyway) threaten to
move in. they gather,
plotting and planning
methods of attack.
they get their game face
on and move in...they
are ready to play.
spidery fingers
of lightning slither
across stygian skies.
massive fists slam the
earth; the resulting
thundershouts cause the
earth to tremble in
fear. wind driven rain
and hail beat against
the suddenly frail
seemingly not so
strong walls of my home,
seeking an entrance,
in their attempt to
include me among
the storm's casualties.

I have a brother-in-law who has the same condition as you. Don't take offence, but I tell him he doesn't say his prayers right.
Stay safe karla......your friend Ron

Oh, my, yes, storms are frightening, and yet so beautiful at the same time. I love watching them from my window and listening to them from my bed. I am shaken by this power of life!

Oh man...I ran into such storms on my recent trip to Ohio. Having lived for five years now in the anemic weather of SoCal., I was stunned by the robustness of the storms back home. Excellent job here!

I liked it. Vividly captivating. But we've had enough rain over here on the east coast, so don't send it this way.
Best regards,

Oh I hope not.
Wonderful imagery. Stay safe. Under the bed is still a good place. I used to sit in a closet when I was a kid, with a flashlight and a good book. [smiles]
