We were under tornado watches earlier
today, and the following poem blew in
with the wind. :) No tornado, but
what inspiration!

the sky is a livid vivid black
the scorched torched clouds
are sheared speared seared
by jagged bolts of light
 the clouds are tortured
by shouts of thunder
tattered shattered
the clouds in pain
pulsating rotating
animated agitated
roiling boiling
concentrated
into a twirling
whirling funnel
of uncontrolled
fury a maelstrom
savaging ravaging
raping scraping
cartwheeling
congealing
revealing
its true
nature
look
deep
.
.
.
and behold the eye of the storm

Which Eye would you like me to look into, they were a bit wild.

"Damn it was perfect till the last two lines",
"And behold the eye of the storm", is this what is termed eye rime.

lovely shape.

I've been in many a vortex but respectfully they weren't tornaadic...just human conditions of conditioning in one way or the other. I love this poem of yours and the art that gave it depth.it spins!
