severe thunderstorms rolled through the metroplex. winds were strong, some reached 80 miles an hour. there were scattered reports of damage from the storms. the lion roared, but not in a tornado voice.
rain fell in blinding sheets, but it didn't last long. the lightning intense, one bolt after another. some houses and buildings were damaged by the wind. the lion roared, but not in a tornado voice.
the sky turned black as pitch, it was a scary sight. i was waiting for the tornado siren's howl. i was a bit nervous, but i didn't freak out. the lion roared, but not in a tornado voice.
i'm a stormphobic. i do not like thunderstorms. especially since there are no basements here. let's just hope that the rest of the year isn't bad. the lion roared, but not in a tornado voice.
it could have been so much worse, we've seen it before. severe weather season's off to an active start. though i've been delivered from a spirit of fear, i still don't want to hear the sound of a lion's roar!!!!

Better the Lions roars now then for the next two months. You see, I have noticed if the lion roars in the begining of March the season generally then goes into the gentleness of the lamb, but if the lion has not roared; look out! So the lion is roaring :-) Here too. A store near where I live had their attena come trumbling down. Wonder if that is why I lost hydro for few seconds? Good storm write! May the lamb be with you. I'm bad! hehehe
Rufuz will protect you, bark at that lions roar, scare the little kitty away...LOL! Take a pill, Karla, storms are fun for me, but I do understand your fear...I just have no sense, LOL! Peace, Ed & rufuz

Karla, great write!I saw that you would be having bad weather and I 've been praying for you guys;-) They mentioned tornado, thank God you didn't get it! I hate those things!
We got lucky here in SE Texas, Karla. A few sprinkles and nothing severe. All the bad stuff was from College Station to Lufkin, last night and missed us. It did not rain till about eight o'clock this morning and the sun is peeking through now. Glad you're okay.
