Just messing around in the style of E. A. Poe's great poem Eldorado!
Hilariously trifling,
Yawned Sandman rifling,
In deliriously stifling desert heat.
Playing at length,
His banjo at full strength,
He and his horse searched for Nirvana.
Dallying long,
No place to belong,
He boxed his shadow all day.
When deep sands of time -
Began to chime -
He boxed phantoms of Nirvana.
Grinning on Mountaintop,
Asking, “Would grim valley ever stop --
Brimming with candy and pain?”
“Phantoms,” said he,
“Where can they be --
Silhouettes awesome like Nirvana?”
Banjo a playing,
Down in the Valley a baying,
“Ride wildly Sandman, ride.”
And until this very day,
Sandman does say,
Nirvana's shadow is shade!
