please don’t SHOUT

am I the only one
to feel the calmness
of this forest
the trees,birdsong,wind
blowing

please
don’t shout, don’t yell
stop the hollering

Tis no slave song you sing
you shout in anger not in
pain

you fellows arguing with
each other
there is a better
way

come here and rest with me

gather in the shade
gaze out over

The valley below
let the answers find there way

do you hear the flowers

crying

asking you to
stop
can you feel the
rustle
of the breeze
trying to cool you
off
why are you shouting

out here
amongst my friends

there are no enemies
lower you guard, lay
down in the grass
my friend

let the pasture move you past
to the place out here
where

sound carries

come walk with me

and see

the trees will swallow you

in this ,sacred

Sanctuary

follow me into

This hollow
a cocoon of silence

Leave behind, the cacophony of
noise and

voices of frustration
I speak the truth
nothing else matters
leave your worries
walk with me

It is the gospel truth and if we would
just listen, we would hear. We live in a
world of much chaos and need a sanctuary.
Great message Stan.

These words have an easy, safe flow to them. They make one feel like a blanket of serenity slowly protects them from the harsh ways of the world. To fast, to loud, not enough thoughts of others. Simple Stan, but very passionate.

stan,
Soft and natural this is. But I was already sitting here so still and quiet you didn't even notice me. Best to ya.

On a personal note, I can't hear when people shout.

Your poem speaks of wonderful silence and peacefulness. I admire how softly you made a statement against shouting.

Softly,
Kathy
