I am captured by the sights and sounds of This new sheet like layer, gleaming in the sun creaking, groaning and the occasionally banging pinging underwater sonic noises ,growing in volume and momentum to a crescendo of thrashing cries of barking seals or worse yet a herd of trapped panicked snorting horses, under this dome of ice
Tortured souls, banging against reality A frozen hell in inky depths encased in the sudden overnight
Artic freeze, inmates trapped below clawing against this film of virgin crystal ice, forming a death song of beautiful and soulful , yet ,desperate pleading, begging , and so I pledge to return in morning with flute to play along ,with these spirits of the past

Wow, Stan. This sounds terrifying. Your imagery was so realistic that I felt I could see and hear the trapped entities crying out for help. Good effort.
An outstanding write...your imagery is excellent! You've left me with an a bit of a chill creeping up my spine and thoughts of your poem lingering in my thoughts...a great write!

tis the last canto of Dante's Inferno; hell hath frozen and only the pure can break free. ..
this gnashing of teeth and completely turgid isolationism; and then enters the Pan with his fawning self, to add a mesmerizing melancholy to the already despairing melody of under.worlds, under the spell of t.his frozen fire. ..this ice breaking to reach.. .straining to be. ..
ooOoo o how long i could recline in this. ..
i must be a wretched soul for i am completely drawn to this [ice].
You sure do have a vivid imagination, Stan. You let it run wild with this. I feel cheated that all I ever get to walk along is an ice-crusted puddle or two.
This is so well-written, I can almost believe in the tortured inmates and panicked horses.
Oh my... I am speechless! (Someone should really mark that down somewhere..) The imagery is simply fantastic.. and the textures within the words are stunning... well done, Stan! Myrna
