Rumbling, a word I hold
close and dear, savoring the feel
as it vibrates deep down in my being
always….holdinginreserve…….expressed out
In those special moments, such as this morning
while standing here, on this rock out crop
overlooking these falls so frothing and foaming
with motion so alive
The power, the force the………..
Rumbling Rumbling
Feeling
the quiver of the earth
up through the souls of my feet
into my heart and outward
up up
Rumbling Rumbling
To know that other nomads
have stood on this same place
on this same rock
ancient one’s, and their offspring the
Shawnees, have also in awe and wonder
gazed out ,watching water in tangled furry of
chaotic…. Misdirection…….swirling…….. Flashing
crashingtorment hearingthe voices of the past
singing
the old words of, death and chants and prayers
of ancestors , songs of joy of life of birth
hearing it all , the pounding, the water the air to
become part of the mystery,to be the
rumbling,rumbling
Are you kin to water? You describe it so perfectly...almost as if you knew it intimately. Me...don't like water...but I love gazing at rivers and streams and listening to the water rumble too.
I have always been fascinated by the sound of rumbling water-- always. It is exactly how you describe it-- all those voices of the past.
What else fascinates me about water is how each drop fell separately to the earth-- in snow, in rain, in hail-- and somehow they all find each other-- move together towards more... and amazing too is that a wet sponge/ towel will soak up more water than a dry one -- they will be together-- and too, that if you're lost, and you follow the water, then you're likely to find your way home.

Gorgeous - connected to the Earth - beautifully imaged in verse. Felt this one rumbling deep within my soul - well done.

the whole poem of your existence shakes with the vibration, the elation, the liberation of life itself. .. the repetition of sounds and words and worlds r.evolving....a.round...the drowning empowering nature of this water.. .shaping rocks, shaping scars on the land, shaping inner etchings of depth [in the earth and in us], shaping things that are mostly found immovable.....and the b.rush of feeling. ..so a.live. ..
what a quaking quest for connection. ..
elipses and open lines of yearning
finding that beauty and that soul already.
