Mt. Capulin

sun streaked horizon
    cloud banks loom
fog creeps
    along volcanic range
climbing amidst gray haze

canyon fringe
    prairie grows
mountains reign
    volcanoes rise
clouds hang
    over Raton pass
clinging to pinon pines

ghosts of miners
    hover ore' abandoned ruins
in an old mining town
    shale stone cliffs
shanty sided adobe huts

prairie view
    desert looms
volcanic ruins
    line the plateau
covered with molted rock
    sage and grass
dotted with lava flows

cirrus contemplation
    scenic overlook
in the distance
     sand stone buttes
snow tipped Sangre de Cristos

To climb the mountain to get to the top is not enough. Whe we get to the summit we must take in the beauty that is the earth below. Then we can say on our descent that we have seen the rare beaty of the earth from above, and we will see it all in God's hoouse when it is our time to leave this earth. Heaven is the last mountain we need to climb so we can get to the summit and oour just reward. Thank you sharing.

May the Lord Jesus bless you, and those whom you love and who love you, and be with you always, and at your side constantly. With much love in my heart, joy to the world, peace on earth & ((((((((((MANY WONDERFUL SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS)))))))))), your little sister, Barbie
