Painted Desert

Painted Desert was rainbow hued Sunlight shining colors grew Cactus pears, green and blue Purple sage and azure sky Cinnamon rose of Cimarron Melting candy, mountains high Painted sierra, burnt yellow dew Prairie flowers in full bloom Blue bells trumpet petals anew Painted in rosy pink and blue Sunsets, orange stained Melting flowing, flowery dew Soothing piney mountain side Greens of olive, stones of emerald Shadows of gray slip and hide Silver tinted, shimmering mirage Golden glistening sunlit rays Quilted Painted Desert collage Brushing wispy cumulus Spanning colorful billows Blue black sky approaches Rain shower washes anew Melting colors mix and swirl Rainbow colors of many hues Lightning flashes brilliant white Fading gray in stormy distance Thunder rumbles skewing light Painted Desert prism fades A twilight veil tricks the light Colors of many evening shades Sunset�s oranges, pink and blue Colors melt into the night Awaiting the starry moonlit hue � 2003 CJ Clark All Rights Reserved
