Snow Mountains (Taylors Winter Challenge)

White tipped snow mountains
closed lipped old men
White bearded and sun baked
Hard old cowboys
rode into the cold day
with the young bucks
picking up drag

Got a buck tailed deer in sight
He jumped high fences
in snow drifts knee deep
to our horses rears
Cows bawling for their calves
and the old men yelling
Yee Haw!

We crossed a fence gate
yonder homewards
Ranch hands waved
gloved and branding calves
Ropes flared amidst whistling
in the cold air
We could barely feel our faces

Pulled up our kerchiefs
and snugged ‘em tight
Horses snort frosty balls
misty in the tight air
We could feel the fight
in our ponies muscles
as we raised snow dust

Looking for a herd to move
into feeding ground
where the hay bales lay round
We got tired looking at the sky
red orbed sun, no heat
Gray clouds in distance
blue misty snow clouds

White tipped snow mountains
The wind whipped and carved
We could see the faces there
just like these old cowboys
White bearded and sun baked
closed lipped, sky toped rocks
waiting for a snow storm

Dale,

I am so happy you took this challenge and did it in such an awesome way.

"We crossed a fence gate

We could barely feel our faces

Pulled up our kerchiefs
and snugged ‘em tight

This is so excellent imagery and all draw into it..

Top Class Award.
