The Wind Shall Speak to You

Westward winds blowing
Moonlit night glowing,
Fear and doom showing,
Another north eastern flowing.

Frigid temperatures all around,
stifling any of nature's sound,
rendering humans home bound
longing for some warmer ground.

Dreaming of hot summer nights,
wishing for tropical delights,
willing Mother Nature toward spring rites,
while seeking comfort under starry lights.

The wind still blows frosty air,
sending waves of despair
for each creature must prepare
to bed down like a sleeping bear.

Needing relief from this cold,
we must take action that is bold,
to ask the Universe to unfold
the secrets that it has been told.

Listen carefully and you will hear
Your answers loud and clear.
Never harbor hatred or fear,
so only love and peace will appear.



Author's Notes: It has been sub zero temperatures here in Connecticut. The cold, the snow, and the wind inspired this poem.
