days of fall

life in transition...promise kept.

The light of afternoon…softens…as the days of fall…begin to greet the season of my birth.  The sun in his radiance…bold…blushes…as the skies pallor becomes subdued…with color of rust and rose.

And bowing his head…our solar father comforts us…assuring us that the warmth of his presence will be closer to us…when the coolness of pre-dusk contrast…takes hold of the months ahead.

For these are the moments when leaves acquire wings…fall…and in their transition…uplift…finding a new life…in the florescent garden of the heavens.

It is there…they alight upon the tree of memories.  Memories of life…memories of death…and memories of rebirth…Autumn.

In the tree of memories most of the leaves have written down all the good moments of our life, the ones with the bad text we should set inside the pile of compost.
A philosophical poem from a literary eremite-crab coming out from its shell.
Well done.

Where The Redwing Sings by Mr. Ed

A book of nature inspired poems and essays, written from the heart and soul of a life-long nature, animal, and wilderness lover, and dedicated to today’s children - Earth's only hope for a better tomorrow. This book won 'The Poetry Category'
