For Ahna...

Poem Artwork

Waltzing with White

Fluff, like bits of

floating feathers

spilled from pillow fights

drift so softly

down from heaven,

kissed by angels’ light,

where another

angel welcomes

snowflakes in their flight.

She catches one

on outstretched finger,

much to her delight.

Happily she

asks the question,

“Waltz with me tonight?”

Giggles of glee,

grins, and dancing--

gliding through the night…

Like confetti,

lightweight snow falls:

backdrop to the sight…

Spinning, twirling,

softly turning…

dancing with her might.

Wisps of cotton

whirl around her--

waltzing with snow…white.

This is just beautiful, Cryss. It really is. The tone is light and dances on the rymes in culy-cue femininity... what's more, it's very Ahna. I love it. --Charlie

Beautiful title Cryssa and lovely, soft images. A bit of playfulness with lots of love, so it seems to this reader. Lovely! Best, Elizabeth

Mom,
I love it! The description is awesome! "fluff like floating feathers" "wisps of cotton" "waltzing with white". That is one of my favorite memories of snow. Grandpa tells me I'm crazy for wanting snow because then I will have to learn to drive in it, but oh, I can't wait until we get snow here! I'm jealous of all of your snow. hee,hee,hee... But I guess I'll have to wait another week and half until I can "waltz with white" again!!

(the photo collage is wonderful too!)
Thank you!! It's wonderful!

Luv,
Ahna :~)
