Poem Artwork

In your eyes I want to always be
Your Princess in waiting that you see
Not the lady you married years ago
But someone you still love so

In your eyes I wish to see love's light
When you take my soft hand at night
I wish to taste the essence of your skin
Take you to places you have never been

In your eyes I want to be the one
You think of when the day is done
The lady you rush home to every day
And never give out of words to say

In your eyes I want the magic to live
All I have is my loving heart to give
I want you to see me as a princess fair
Not an ordinary woman with curlers in her hair

In your eyes I wish to be a Queen
The most beautiful lady you've ever seen
Not the housewife who cleans every room
In a dirty apron and broken down broom

In your eyes I want to be a star
Someone you dream about from afar
I want to be a beacon shining bright
Leading you home to me at night

In your eyes will I ever be these things
Will I feel the joy I know love brings
Will I dance on a cloud in the moonlite
Or will you turn away from me tonite

I had to read this because I've written a similarly titled poem I must post here. Funny how we females tend to need validation from the men we love and want to be esteemed in their eyes, and rarely do we find those eyes that do. Well written piece!

((((( Linda )))))
Your love splashes like a big truck zooming through a puddle, and your words strike me with that love and leave me standing totally messed up, drenched to the bones, but I wouldn't mind if you saw me this way...because you know how to see what matters.
Besides, it's all your fault anyway.
:)
Awesome poem.
I pray for you to be seen as you are.

BEAUTIFUL. Somehow I see the woman who is loving and caring for her man but the last line seems to say it. Will he come home at all, will he come home and be a stranger to you. There is a hurt in that last line of cinderella fairy tale waking up.
Guess it is hard to explain what i am trying to say

I see I'm too late with my comments as everyone else has stolen what I wanted to say. Drat. The poem was lovely and the sentiment divine.
